..easter weekend..

Remember I wanted to invite myself to the Faus's house..?? Well Jesse wanted to go to Manteca instead so we did that. It's a long drive up there! I forget sometimes how long it is. We left on Friday around 5:30 pm and got into Manteca around 11:30 pm. That is one looong drive for about a 36 hour visit. Then we left Sunday at 3:30ish and got into Covina around 10:30pm. We hit some traffic...ohh the joys of Los Angeles. So that was Easter weekend in a nutshell. I missed my family's big dinner though...maybe another year!

Let's see...I went to a surgeon at Cedar Sinai last week. And no I did not bump into Britney Spears in the psychward OR see a pregnant celebrity give birth...I was hoping to bump into Brad Pitt with Angelina Jolie at a doctor appointment or something...wishful thinking :) Well, that visit was a bust and that doctor has no idea what is wrong with me too. These doctor visits are getting expensive and I think I am going to deal with the pain. It sucks and keeps me from a lot of activities like aerobics or standing for long periods of time but NO doctor knows what is wrong! Nothing seems to add up for them! We will see though!

Jesse is at Foothill Ranch this week which is about an hour away. He is doing some management trainging stuff. He gets a hotel for the week and free food...he is one happy person right now!! haha I think I might make the trip out there this week to see him for a little bit. I will probably go Wednesday night and stay the night since I don't have class until 11:25 on Thursday! Hope they have a spa :)

Not much else is going on here...I do however REALLY miss my friends from home. These last few weeks have been really difficult and I want to have friends!! I feel really alone down here :( I miss you guys!!

..roommates..

I don't have too much to say today. BUT yesterday I was able to hangout with my old roommates! It was a great time at lunch and just sitting and visiting. Rhondie now lives in the Redlands with her hubby Isaac so we don't get to see her that often. So here are some pictures and then because they were taken yesterday there are pictures of my new hair!

..doctor visits..

I had an unusual doctor visit today. I went to see a surgeon who I was hoping could help me be diagnosed with a hernia.
First of all, I had to wait an hour.
Secondly, they did not have carpet in the waiting room-only cement.
Third, people were coughing and gagging all over-I felt like I needed a shower afterwards.
Lastly, the surgeon answered his cell phone 2 times while he was listening to my symptoms and all I heard on the other end was "Dad, I think we have termites".
It was an unusual visit to see the least.

The results are that I do not have a hernia. I was hoping I did so I could have surgery and be done with all of this BUT on Monday morning I am going to another doctor and having Trigger Point Injections in my stomach to help the pain and hopefully calm down my nerves and scar tissue that have developed. Let's see if that works. Jesse says he is hopeful and really thinks this will work..I told him I was glad that one of us was.

Other than doctor visits, life is fairly normal around here. I only have spanish tomorrow and then my spring break starts! I am need of a break and this will be nice!! We don't have plans for Easter. Probably just going to church and coming home. No family around so no place to go. Is it weird to invite yourself to someones house for Easter? I think it is but I really want to call the Faus family to see what their plans are and if we can come down to relax for the weekend and spend Easter with them. We went there for Thanksgiving..I still feel weird calling...probably won't :( What is everyone else doing for Easter? I will miss being around kids for the Easter egg hunt!!

It's been a while since I posted..I didn't realze it! The weekend at Dana Point was very relaxing and fun. We first went to their house and it was a bit overcast so we hungout there for a little bit. They live on a golf course and have a big pool and hot tub in the back yard. We then went down to the beach for a bit and then to a whale festival. I guess it is around the time when some whales migrate through so they have a little festival thing down town. It was just closing down but it toally reminded me of a cross between Lakefair vendors and Farmer's Market. After that we grabbed an appetizer at a local Irish pub and then headed back. We went in the hot tub for a bit and then got to sleep in!! The next morning was gorgeous so Jesse and I enjoyed a cup of coffee out by the pool and watched people golf for a bit. Then we headed back to the beach and then home! It was really nice to just get away!! I also realized, as nice as houses are on golf courses..I don't think I would want one! They scare me! Right after we were sitting out there 3 golf balls flew into their yard and one landed in the pool! I could have been killed!! And they break windows too..so no golf course for us ;)

I just chopped off my hair too :) Jesse doesn't know yet..he will be shocked when he gets home!! I cut about 3 1/2 inches off and layered it with a little side bangs...I love it and I hope Jesse will too!! I think he will....I will post pictures soon!

Okay, well instead of blogging I need to be doing math homework..
